Open House Day in Tangermuende a complete success

In June, our location in Tangermuende opened its doors to the public with the aim of increasing awareness of our company in the region and inspiring potential new employees and future trainees to join us.

MINDA you can touch: Company tours for visitors.

Our factory presented itself from its best side in perfect weather and pleasant temperatures. The first visitors arrived shortly after 11 a.m. – we welcomed a total of around 400 interested guests.

One highlight was the factory tour every 20 minutes, during which visitors could experience live the state-of-the-art technology. There was a particular interest in our production, the demonstrations of the palletizer and the breaker, as well as the exciting insights into the paint shop and the production line for plastic chain conveyors.

The section “construction then and now” was a special experience – from the drawing board to 3D design. Here, visitors could even assemble a 3D puzzle made of laser-cut tubes and test their spatial thinking skills.

The 3D scanning of factory buildings at the customer's site was also clearly explained – an important step towards visualizing our plant technology being in operation.

Activities such as the torque competition, in which participants had to guess the exact value of 50 Nm, provided plenty of fun and excitement – two visitors won a trophy. In the activity “edging of elephants”, small works of art could be bent made of sheet metal. And those who paid close attention during the tours were able to demonstrate their knowledge in a cross competition – the prize was spectacularly delivered by a ball chain.

Refreshments were also provided: snacks, drinks, and a constantly busy ice cream truck completed the offerings. The children's area with a bouncy castle, face painting, and games ensured that even the youngest guests had a great time.

From 6 p.m. onwards, we ended the day together with our employees and their families in a relaxed atmosphere – being proud of an all-round successful day.

A big thank you goes to all employees who contributed to this success with their ideas, initiative and commitment. The open house was not only a win for MINDA, but also sent a strong signal to the region. We were also supported by the local fire department with a splash board and the LOK Stendal with a goal wall—thank you very much for your support!
